Mrs. Rani Lakhan-Narace M.B.A. - Executive Chairman
Mrs. Rani Lakhan-Narace was appointed Executive Chairman on June 22nd, 2001. She is a Director and Immediate Past President of ATTIC, the Association of Trinidad and Tobago Insurance Companies, a position to which she served for two consecutive terms. She is alsoa Member of the Board of the Insurance Association of the Caribbean (IAC) and a Director of Investment Managers Ltd. Mrs. Lakhan-Narace holds an Executive Masters Degree in Business Administration from the Arthur Lok Jack Graduate School of Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences with a major in Economics from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
Mr. Derek Mitchell FCCA - Executive Director
Mr. Derek Mitchell was appointed Executive Director on February 17th, 2006. He is a Certified Accountant from the Emile Wolfe College of Accountancy, London, England. He also achieved the prestigious title of Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. At TRINRE he is responsible for Corporate Governance and Compliance.
Mr. Faris Al-Rawi L.L.B., L.L.M. - Director
Mr. Faris Al-Rawi was appointed Non-Executive Director on March 18th, 2002. He obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree (with Honours) from the University of the West Indies and read for his Masters degree in the laws of Intellectual Property, Information Technology and Alternative Dispute Resolution at King's College London, University of London graduating with Merit. He attended the Hugh Wooding Law School where he obtained the Certificate of Legal Education graduating at the top of his class.
Mr. Raymond Tim Kee ClU, MBA - Director
Mr. Raymond Tim Kee was appointed Non-Executive Director on March 18th, 2002. He is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU), a Sales and Management Trainer and holds a Masters of Business Administration (International MBA). He is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Raymond Tim Kee Investments & Insurance Services Limited/ Guardian Life of the Caribbean Limited, RTK Trading Enterprises Limited and ART Advertising and has been involved in the insurance industry for the past thirty years. He has served in executive positions in both sales and administration with ALGICO/AIG. Mr. John Gonzales was appointed Non-Executive Director on May 4th, 2009. He has over 35 years experience in the insurance industry. He has held several directorships both locally and regionally including Caribbean Home Insurance Company Limited, Sun Alliance (Jamaica), CHIC Re (Cayman Islands), Trans-Nemwil Insurance (Grenada) and Guardian General Insurance Limited.
Mrs. Elizabeth Cox , M.B.A - Director
Mrs. Elizabeth Cox was appointed Non-Executive Director on June 1st, 2010. She is the CEO and Principal Consultant of Casper Investments Incorporated and has over 25 years experience in Insurance and Management. She is the current Immediate Past President of the Association of Insurance Institutes of the Caribbean (AIIC) and the holder of several professional qualifications. She holds an Executive Masters Degree and completed her final project towards her 'Master Trainer Certification'. Her other qualifications include Fellow of the Life Management Institute - Insurance; Managed Health Care Professional in Insurance and a Certified User of the (MBTI) Myers Briggs Type Personality Assessment Instrument.
Dr. Axel Kravatzky, B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D - Director
Dr. Axel Kravatzky was appointed Non-Executive Director on June 1st, 2010. His expertise includes Change Management, Leadership Development, and Coaching. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics and Political Science (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D). Dr. Kravatzky lectured in the Department of Economics, UWI, St. Augustine Campus (where he co-founded the Sustainable Economic Development Unit), international consultancy assignments for the World Bank in Romania, the Caribbean Disaster Mitigation Project of the Organisation of American States (OAS) in Haiti, the Social Development Fund (Egypt), European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (Romania), and UNDP (Trinidad & Guyana).
